Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 7 years and 9 months old | 55 lbs
My dog has 2 hard knots above her left eye what could it be? Also tongue and gums are pale.

Hi and thanks for your request. this lump/bump/growth should be ideally examined by your local vet to have a diagnosis established. Your vet may want to perform an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy to sample the bump and determine its underlying nature. Differentials would include skin cysts, infections, benign or more malignant type of tumors. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Those may be benign or malignant growths. It would be ideal to sample them to know what they may be. However, even more concerning is the fact that the gums and tongue are pale as that can be a sign of anemia which warrants an evaluation as soon as possible. A veterinarian can then check causes of anemia so therapy can be recommended accordingly. I am hoping for a speedy recovery!
