What's the best comfortable muzzle for a dog that nips chickens?

Are cloth or basket muzzles more comfortable? My dog has a halti beacuse he pulls and he doesn't like it beacuse it makes his face itch.. what do you think would be best for him? I want to get him one to stop him from nipping our chickens.. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Male | neutered | 7 years and 2 months old | 16 lbs
