Can floor cleaner on dog paws be toxic and lead to seizures?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 18 lbs

Do you think floor cleaner can be absorbed in dogs paws and be toxic & cause health issues? My dog has been having seizures & we are racking our brains to think of toxic things . Vet did a lot test can’t find any cause

First off, I'm sorry Stewie is having seizures. One of the most common causes of seizures is idiopathic, meaning there is no known cause. This happens in a lot of cases of seizures, and I suspect that is what is occurring with your dog. Floor cleaner isn't absorbed into a dog's paws. Best of luck.
