Why is my hamster still limping after taking MeloneX medication?

My hamster is 1.5 years old and suddenly started limping and I noticed he had a problem with his back right foot. I took him to the vet and he prescribed 'MeloneX' and said it's probably a joint pain. It's been 4 days since he's been on medication but is showing no sign of recovery. He has good cage space and is eating well. But I am worried about his foot. Please help. Pet's info: Other | Other Pet - Not Listed | Male | 1 year and 5 months old

I would expect him to be better after 4 days of taking the Melonex. That being said, some animals respond to medications differently so I suggest you give him a few more days on the Melonex before you say it is not helping.
