What human foods are safe to give my cat a pill without a struggle?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 3 months and 11 days old | 3 lbs

Aside from pill pockets aand shoving pills in the back of your cats mouth - are there any harmless human foods (like cheese slice or peanut butter) to give your pet with their pill inside?

Cats are tricky with foods, you can try different types of baby food or wet cat food. Cream cheese, soft cheeses, peanut butter (make sure it isn't sweetened with xylitol), marshmallows, etc. are ok. You can also learn how to get them to take a pill with a pill popper made for pets. There are lots of youtube videos on training them how to do this.
