Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Male | neutered | 115 lbs
My dog, who is a 115lb male boxer, ingested some bleach water two nights ago after I bleached some jeans. At first hos stomach seemed to get upset and he tried to eat everything- plants and food, and seemed incredibly thirsty, I gave him water and some milk to try and flush it out of his system and neutralize it. He seemed to get better. Today he's throwing up and around his mouth and eyes are swollen and puffy. I can not take him to the vet. What can I do to help him at home?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bleach can severely irritate the gastrointestinal system even causing a chemical burn depending on the product used. While there is not an antidote, there are medications that can help with the symptoms that are simply not over the counter. For that reason, it is recommended that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to examine him, gather more information and decide how to treat him next. I am hoping for a speedy recovery!
