My puppy shows UTI symptoms with blood. What can I do without a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bully | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 29 days old | 15 lbs

I think she has a uti. There is a change in her urinating pattern and today she has blood on her little parts. I suffer from them regularly so that’s how I recognize the symptoms. We are currently on the road in the truck with my husband and won’t have access to a vet for a few more days. Is there anything I can do to help it?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Ivy. If possible, I recommend finding a veterinarian while you are traveling. If she has an infection, the sooner it is treated the better. Being a young puppy, her immune system is not fully developed yet. I worry about an infection getting worse or spreading to her kidneys. In the meantime, encourage her to drink as to help flush out her urinary system. I hope this information helps!
