My dog has hogweed blisters. Are antibiotics needed? Is it contagious?

Does a dog need antibiotics for hogweed blisters? Can a dog catch hogweed infection from another dog?

If the blisters become infected, then antibiotics would be needed. I would recommend having Bea examined by your vet now so that they can monitor the healing of the blisters. If the sap is washed off of the skin, it shouldn't be transmissible to other pets or humans.
