What can I use to get fleas off my 5-week-old puppy before the vet?

Have a five week old pup that was strayed, has fleas, I have appointment set up for a day from now, but what can I use to get the fleas off this pup before the appointment

I am sorry to hear about your concern for this pup! In tiny animals that may not be old or large enough to use flea medication we often use a bath in dawn dishsoap (being very careful to not get it in the eyes) to kill the fleas and then comb them out using a flea comb. There is also a product called Capstar which can be used in puppies older than 4 weeks that weigh 2 pounds or more. It will kill all the fleas on the pup within a few hours but only stays in the system for 24 hours so won't prevent new fleas.
