My Chihuahua has a tilted head and is unsteady. Can I give cortisone?

Pet's info: Dog | Pekingese | Female | spayed | 5 years and 8 months old | 6.5 lbs

Can i give my 11 year old Chihuahua cortisone for ear infection. She walks since Saturday unsteady on her feet and with her head tilted to the side

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I do not recommend using this medication without knowing what is going on. This may indeed be an ear infection and in that case cortisone would not be indicated. I recommend that you have Mika evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for this and proceed with therapy accordingly. Best of luck!
