She is likely still in heat. The heat cycle in cats lasts about a week on average but can be as short as 1 day or as long as 2-3 weeks. Mating triggers ovulation and it may take several matings for Kalifa to become pregnant.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Cats in heat often try to mate with any male available for the time they are in heat, and that can last a few days or a week, depending on the cat. She should not need another male, you will just have to wait until her heat is over. Also, cats get pregnant VERY easily, so if she has mated and the male is not neutered, then she is very likely to be pregnant. I would get her into the vet ASAP to discuss possibly getting her spayed in the next week or so. Best of luck with Lovely.

If Lovely did not mate again with the male cat after previously mating with him, then she is no longer in heat. Cats will only mate when they are in heat. It can only take one mating for a cat to get pregnant, so if they mated for 4 days, it's highly likely she is pregnant. I would not take the neighbor's male cat again, and watch her over the next couple of weeks. Take her into the vet around 30 days after her last mating so the vet can confirm if she is pregnant or not. I hope this helps!

Cats are what is known as induced ovulators. That means mating while in heat causes their ovaries to release eggs, thus stopping the heat. If Girly is still in heat, you may be lucky and she's not pregnant!
