My dog is limping, has a leg lump, and pees a lot. Could it be cancer?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 7 years and 9 months old | 16.4 lbs

My dog has been urinating in the house about 2-3xs every hour. When I take her outside she goes about 10xs in that moment and most of the time nothing comes out. Also she has a very hard bone like lump on her back leg ankle. Could it be osteosarcoma? She’s been limping and now she can barely walk.

I cannot diagnose osteosarcoma from a picture, sorry, but Ping is obviously very painful if she can barely walk. As for the urination, she could have a UTI or bladder stones causing her problem. I would take her into a vet immediately.
