My dog ate chicken wings. Should I be worried about the bones?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 3 years and 3 months old | 80 lbs

My chocolate lab (80 lbs) ate about 15 chicken wings accidentally. He infested them safely and I’ve given him some bread. Should I bring him to the vet now? Should I feed him anything else? I’m planning on watching to make sure he’s okay and if something is off take him to the emergency vet. Anything else I should consider?

That's a lot of wings! Giving Beau the bread was fine, do NOT induce vomiting. Watch him closely over the next couple of days, and if you see vomiting, diarrhea, blood in his feces, anorexia, or lethargy, take him into a vet immediately;
