Pet's info: Cat | American Longhair | Male | neutered | 18 lbs
My 4 1/2 year-old outdoor cat he’s having trouble pooping. He is a long hair, don’t know if it’s hairballs or constipation. Suggestions?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Dude. If possible, he needs to see a veterinarian. If he is constipated, an enema may be required to provide him with some relief. He also could be struggling to defecate if he is painful somewhere. Outdoor cats are notorious for suffering fight wounds. A thorough examination will help determine the source of his problem and how best to treat him. In the meantime, encourage him to drink as much water as possible to help soften the stoof if he is constipated. I hope this information helps!
