Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 11 months and 22 days old | 12 lbs

My cat has had this for about 1-2 weeks now. I feel like its getting worse and starting to bleed a bit. Does anyone know whats going on? Otherwise he's eating and playing like he normally does.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Oreo. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian. His upper lip appears very sore. He could have a skin infection or have the beginnings of a disease known as indolent ulcers. This is a serious condition that is typically triggered by an allergy. His veterinarian will examine him and may recommend a skin biopsy. I hope this information helps!
