Why won't my dog eat after a tick bite? What oral meds can help?

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Female

My Dog is suffering with Fever caused by Tick Bite. The fever lower down but she is not taking food. Its the 5th day. We already consulting with a Doctor who is giving injections and drip (but dont know the names) but we would like to move on to some oral medications which is feasible to our budget as well. Attaching blood report for your reference. Kindly advise.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Tick bites do not cause a fever by themselves per se. What causes the fever is the infection they can transmit rather. Most of these diseases though are treated with an oral medication called doxycycline. That is something your veterinarian can prescribe for Julie if they think she is suffering from one of the typical tick borne diseases. Hoping for a speedy recovery!
