My 4-month-old puppy broke a tooth. Vet is closed, what should I do?

My dog is 4 months old, his canine tooth broke while playing, he keeps licking at it and looks like hes in pain but is still playing and running around my vet is closed what should I do? Will he be ok

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about your puppy. Do not give him any human pain relievers, as many are toxic to puppies and can be fatal if given. Given he's running and playing, just observe him tonight. Have him seen by a vet in the morning, and the vet can remove it as needed. Best of luck.

    You need to take Jax into the vet first thing in the morning. Even though it doesn't seem like he is in pain, it will likely be painful to him. The tooth will probably have to be removed, which the vet can do for him.
