Why is my cat's urine dark yellowish-brown? Should I be worried?

My cats urine is a very dark yellowish brown color, could something be wrong?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The urinary tract symptoms you describe could be due to a urinary tract infection, urinary stones, a tumor, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Hope evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Further diagnostics would include abdominal imaging and lab work.     No, that is not normal to have a brownish urine. Bailey could have blood in her urine, which can be a sign of a UTI or bladder stones. I would take her into the vet today for an exam. Your vet can do routine blood tests and a urinalysis to see if she does have a UTI or bladder stones. If she has a UTI, she will need antibiotics to treat it. Bladder stones may need to be removed surgically, or can be managed with diet.
