Thanks for reaching out about your cockatiel. Lethargy and weakness are only general signs of illness. Possibilities range from metabolic problems (kidney, liver), infections, nutritional deficiencies, inhaled or ingested toxins, and more. A veterinary visit is needed to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. This sounds serious and should be dealt with today. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out about your cockatiel. If it sleeping a lot, it is probably ill and needs to see a veterinarian ASAP. Excessive sleeping is to concern energy. There can be multiple reasons from infections to metabolic disease (liver, kidney). Providing heat support in the 80-85 F range can give some support but is not a treatment. See a veterinarian today. Good luck.

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. It is hard to say for sure what is going on with your bird without seeing it. I would recommend having an exotic veterinarian take a look at him. I would have his blood tested and his poop checked as well.
