I gave my dog too much Rovera for vaccine pain. Is it an overdose?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My dog weighs 35lbs and is 3yrs old. He got his annual shots today and I gave him half of a Rovera when we got home around 10am. His vet had told me before that I could give him that for the discomfort from the shots. I didn’t pay attention to the bottle that says only one half per day. I ended up giving him a whole tablet in one day. It’s been about 13hrs. It’s 100mg total. Do I need to worry about overdose?

It's just slightly above the maximum dose that should be given to your dog, a one time mistake of this dosage is not likely to cause a toxic reaction, do monitor him for vomiting, blood in the stools, lethargy or lack of appetite. if he doesn't show any of these then he should be fine.
