Why is my dog drinking, vomiting, panting, and peeing so much?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 6 years and 3 months old | 48 lbs

my dog is drinking excessive amounts of water, then throwing it up along with her dinner and white foam. She is panting a lot and is urinating every time she lies down. We have taken her to the vet but all they did was take her blood and say she has a high calcium level. Then they prescribed medicine for a UTI and medicine to stop the loose bladder but it hasn't worked. when we tried to make another appointment they said they were too busy to see her today

If Lillie is in that much distress I would seek out another veterinarian that is available, or an emergency clinic in your area, especially if she is heavily panting, painful, or unable to keep anything down. Be sure to let the new vet know what tests have been done, medications tried (and that they aren't helping) and any other symptoms you are seeing/for how long.
