My cat is suddenly ill, twitching, grooming, hiding, and has lumps.

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 15 lbs

My 7 yr old female cat suddenly became very ill with twitching & incessent grooming, hiding & totally changing her habits. Also, she has lumps on her hips & tummy that have shown up within one months time. Someone suggested she is just a "fatty Patty" & she needs to be treated for fleas, but she is an inside cat & I do not see any evidence of fleas. I have reduced her food to 1/2 cup of dry per day. She is eating less now anyway but has continued to drink water & pooping & peeing everyday .

It sounds like it is time to have Sweet Pea examined by a vet. The lumps and bumps could be fat deposits, or they could be something more serious. Even indoor cats can get fleas, and they may be hard to see, so starting a flea preventative is a good idea. Twitching and excessive grooming can also be caused by urinary disorders or anxiety. The vet can help you determine what is going on and get Sweet Pea on the right track to getting healthy again.
