Why is my kitten's third eyelid out and eye blurry? Is it serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 22 days old | 6 lbs

My kitten has one eye with the third eyelid out and never goes away. The eye is also blurry. Her other eye has this weird thing inside (photo attached) Any idea what this could be?

It's probably either a foreign body in the eye, an eye injury or an eye infection, this require a vet visit as a special eye test is needed to assess the damage to the eye. the treatment will likely include one ore more prescription eye drops.
