My dog has a hard, dry spot in his nose. Is it a scab or snot?

I noticed this in my dogs nose, it is hard like a scab and he doesn't want me to get it out, have you seen this before? It doesn't seem to bother him he isn't sneezing or pawing at it. Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | neutered | 8 years and 7 months old | 127 lbs

It could be dried snot, and it may be that Tucker has a stuffy nose or respiratory infection. I'd try to wipe it off with a soft wet cloth. If he won't let you, have him seen by a vet. Best of luck.
