Dog travel to Greece via France: Is a 24-hour vet stay required?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 10 lbs

I am planning to go on a long road trip with my dog to Greece. My friend has a dog and she told me i have to stay in france for 24 hours so the vets would give her a needle. Is it true? And if it is whats the name of the needle, also how much is it? Thank you

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is something that you would be better off asking the appropriate authorities in France. I would encourage you to check in with a local veterinarian in that region who may be familiar with the process. They may be able to better assist you. Best of luck!
