My dog has slimy poop. Is it a colitis flare-up? What should I do?

Lou pooped like normal after supper then about an hour later he stopped playing w his toy & just sitting so I knew something was up I asked if he wanted to go outside & he shot to the door he squatted & quickly pooped normal then slimy & then squatted/walked trying all he got was drops he has colitis every so often & usually if I withhold food for a little bit it clears up could this be a flare up? I think it looks the same just I panic but he’s back normal now playing/eating ice/snuggling. Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 3 years and 6 months old | 23 lbs

Yes, probably a bout of colitis. I would not be overly worried. Just do as you normally do by withholding food for a 6-8 hours. The only other thing I would suggest is a 30 day course of a probiotic. You can use any probiotic made for dogs but I recommend Fortiflora. One packet on food daily. It is very palatable so dogs usually eat with no problem.
