Why is my spayed cat losing weight again after her medication?

My cat Maude , she is about two years old. We got her spayed after she stop nursing her 3rd litter. We began to notice she was losing weight. Our other cat Ivan gained weight after he was fixed. We took her to the vet and he gave her medication. Well it worked for a while until we saw that she was losing weight again. I am extremely worried about my cat! Can you help me? Alivia T. Hi Alivia! Not all cats gain weight when they are spayed, but losing weight is concerning. I'd take Maude back into the vet for a physical exam, blood work, and a urinalysis. This will help determine if there is a physical issue with her causing the weight loss. Best of luck.
