How to help a puppy with issues when owners refuse help?

hello, i have recently moved in with my grandparents who have an 8 month old lab retriever puppy. she has boundless energy & has developed a chewing problem due to boredom. they take her on extremely short walks, over feed her, and don't regularly bathe her. she has bad behavior around other dogs & is barely leash trained. ive offered to take her on longer walks, as i am much younger than they are, but they flat out refused as they dont see a "problem". should i still help out the best i can? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed

Unfortunately, there is little you can do if it is against their wishes. Try to keep your belongings and any dangerous items in the house away from her since she is a chewer. You can continue to ask them to allow you to walk her.
