My pug dog ate M&Ms and is bloated. When should I call the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 10.5 lbs

Hi there, my 4.8kg 6 year old pug dog ate approximately 12-14 peanut m&m's about 45 minutes ago. Her belly is bloated and hard and she is quite unsettled and drinking lots of water. It's 8:30pm at night. Should I get her to the vet or just monitor her at home?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! That is not a toxic dose of chocolate for Lucy. If she’s acting off there could be something else going on- a stomach bug, foreign body, something else she got into. If you are concerned about her I would take her to a vet for an exam and possibly blood work and xrays. They can also give her medications to calm her stomach if needed. Good luck and kisses to Lucy!
