Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and I’m sorry to hear Scrappy isn’t feeling well. A urinary tract infection, bladder stones, bladder cancer, prostate infection or cancer, and kidney disease add all possibilities for blood from the penis. I recommend taking him to a vet for an exam and tests. I would start with routine blood work, a urinalysis and abdominal radiographs. The vet can also check his prostate on exam. These tests will give a lot of information to determine what’s going on. Hopefully it’s something not severe and easy to treat. Good luck and kisses to Scrappy!

I would be concerned that Max is having bloody urine. I would recommend calling your veterinarian in the morning and have them check him out and look at his urine to make sure he doesn't have an infection. If he is not neutered it could be from his prostate. If he is neutered it may be from a urinary tract infection or he could even have bladder stones. I hope he feels better soon and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

OH no, poor Chicko! This bleeding could be related to his kidney problem, and could be due to a UTI or bladder stones. I see as well that he isn't neutered. In dogs who aren't neutered, prostate problems are a very likely cause of bleeding from the penis. These problems include benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis, and prostate cancer. I would take him into your vet tomorrow for an exam. Your vet can do a rectal exam to see if his prostate is enlarged, and can do x-rays, routine blood tests, and a urinalysis to see if he has a UTI or bladder stones. If he does have a problem with his prostate, neutering him is one of the recommended treatments.

Blood in the urine can be due to a UTI, bladder stones, a disease like leptospirosis, or eating something toxic. Riley will need to see a vet for it. If he appears otherwise healthy and happy, eats and drinks plenty, you can wait until Monday morning. If he appears lethargic, ill or distressed, or if the urine appears very bloody, then he should be seen by a vet ASAP. Feed him wet/canned food, add water to it, and make sure he drinks a lot of water to help flush the bladder.
