Why won't my dog poop outside with the new person, but poops inside?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Samoyed | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 28 days old | 6 lbs

Oli is 7 months old now. He lives indoor in my house. I used to take him out to poop every morning and he would do it fast. But nowadays, the maid is taking him out in the morning. He's not agreeing to poop with her. Yet when i wake up, i see he pooped in the house. So is there a reason he might be disagreeing to poop outside with the maid? Thanks

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is likely just him needing to get used to going out to defecate with someone else. I would recommend that when he is taken outside by that person, that they give him a longer time to go potty while he gets used to them. This should get better on its own. Best of luck!
