My male cat stopped using litter box after new kitten. Is he stressed?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

I just brought a new kitten into the home and now my male cat is refusing to use the bathroom. He hasn’t gone once since she got here. He seems uncomfortable when his back half is touched. I’m wondering if he could be holding it in because he is stressed?

It is possible. Ideally, in a multi-cat household you should have one litterbox per cat plus an additional litterbox in a neutral area. Try sprinkling a litterbox attractant in the box to entice him back. You can also use a pheromone product, such as Feliway Spray or plug in diffuser, to help decrease any anxiety associated with the new addition.
