Why are my 5-week-old British Shorthair kitten's eyes different?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 28 days old

I’m getting a british shorthair kitten, when I met her she was 2 weeks old, and she had quite different eyes from her siblings, the owner said she’s still small. Now she’s 5 weeks and the owner posted new pictures and her eyes are still same. I’m quite concerned as I feel like this is quite weird as her siblings eyes and all are developed but hers isn’t and they all are the same age? I’m unsure what to do as this is my first cat?

The only way to know if there is something wrong with the eyes is to have them examined by a vet. It's hard for me to see what could be going on from the pictures. I would recommend discussing this option with the breeder before finalizing the purchase.
