How often to bathe my dog who smells, is itchy, and rolls in dirt?

How often should I bathe my dog he is allergic to dirt. he has a bad smell. Also what can I put on his back he gets very itchy and rolls around to relieve it. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 10 lbs

Is Bobby on flea and tick prevention? If not I would recommend it. I would recommend bathing him when he gets all dirty. Typically we don't recommend bathing dogs more than once a month unless medically necessary but if he continues to get dirty you may need to. I would recommend trying to walk him on a leash so he stops rolling in the dirt. If he is that itchy I recommend a vet visit to address the underlying cause.
