My dog peed blood then stopped. Does he still need to see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | neutered | 7 months and 22 days old | 28 lbs

So Asher only peed blood twice yesterday but the second time was only a drop or so. Since last night and all day today his urine has been normal. He hasn’t showed any other symptoms, not even struggling to pee. Should I still take him to the vet or perhaps he might have just had an injury since he and my female play very rough?

Anytime there is blood in the urine, it should be checked out by a vet. Asher could have more blood in his urine that is microscopic and cannot be seen by the naked eye. I would take him into the vet in the morning. Best of luck.
