My puppy was stung by a wasp. Can I give her aspirin for the pain?

My puppy got stung by a wasp. Can I give her some aspirin? She refuses to let me touch it

Poor Stella! No, I would not recommend giving her aspirin - this is not safe for use in dogs, and will interfere with your veterinarian's ability to treat her appropriately if she needs to see the vet for her sting. If the area is mildly swollen and sore but your pup is otherwise acting normal, you shouldn't need to do anything - just like a human with a wasp or bee sting, it will be sore for a few days but should resolve on its own. If she seems excessively painful, or if she has significant swelling or any other symptoms such as vomiting, hives, or difficulty breathing, then I would recommend taking her to the vet to be seen as these can be signs of a more serious reaction.
