Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | English Cocker Spaniel | Female | spayed | 8 years and 2 months old | 26 lbs

Our 8 years old cocker developed a skin condition on her right part of rib cage.Size about 3 mm, pinky yellow crusts arrownd, not attachment to the underlying soft tissue. Some serous or purulent discharge.Application of colloidal silver and betadine for last month did not support the healing.

That appears to be a benign wart but it could also be a sebaceous cyst. They will only go away with surgical removal. No topical treatment will work. It is not a concern; only a cosmetic blemish. If you really want it gone you will have to have your vet remove it surgically.
