My cat has dark, sticky eye boogers. Is it related to hemophilia?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Tonkinese | Male | neutered | 12 years and 5 months old | 9 lbs

So, my cat is a Tonkinese and is a hemophiliac. But he also has dark reddish brown eye boogers daily and it's sort of sticky or plasma-like. Any suggestions on what this is, if it has to do with his hemophilia, or if it can be stopped?

Unless there is bleeding or chronic inflammation of the eyes, I don't think this is related to Sandie's hemophilia. Eye boogers are normal in pets, but sometimes can be caused by allergies, infection, conjunctivitis, etc. I would have Sandie checked out by his vet just to be on the safe side.
