Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | neutered | 4 years and 11 months old | 52 lbs
My 5 year old goldendoodle has these new surface stains on some of his teeth. He has his teeth cleaned (under anesthesia) last year and I brush his teeth at least 3-4x/week. He’s a heavy chewer, so dental chews don’t last longer than a few minutes and I give him beef rawhide once/week which takes him a couple hours to work through. I’d hate to need another cleaning again in the future because I don’t like the anesthetic. You can see the stain isn’t at the gums, it’s on the surface.

Brushing is recommend at least once per day so I suggest you increase to brushing once per day. Sometimes dogs get some dental staining that you cannot remove. I think his teeth look great from this photo. Dogs will never have no tartar at all; you can expect some will always be present. If you can get Zymox products you can try using this water additive along with daily brushing. It may help. ( https://www.amazon.com/Pet-King-Brands-Additive-Solution/dp/B00D2QN8X0 )
