I have a 2 year old pit mix and she has recently been wheezing and has clear nasal discharge. Today, after bathing and drying her very well, she had the symptoms. She has had a history of allergies before, but it was on her skin and the vet told us what it was. Could this be allergies or asthma? If so, can I give her Benadryl or could that induce the asthma? I have albuterol and Flovent, but i think it’s too strong for her. what can I do? besides a vet please, unless It sounds threatening.

It could be allergies. Asthma is not very common in dogs, but it cannot be ruled out. Unfortunately, without being able to examine Aminah and listen to her lungs and maybe do x-rays, I am unable to tell you what is causing her symptoms and which medications may be best for her. I would recommend a checkup with the vet.
