My dog's ALP is high. Should I worry and is Belamyl injection safe?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | 2 years and 9 months old | 57 lbs

Hi Experts, My vet suggested to do a blood test because my dog wasn't eating much. In the report, the level of Alkaline Phosphatase is much higher than Normal. My vet suggested Belamyn Injection for seven days. Attached is the photo of the report. Could you pleade help me? I am confused totally and I don't know what to do. Please help.

That ALP level is not that high. This would not concern me at all. We don’t get concern about this and call it abnormally high until it gets over about 350-400. The Belamyl injection is just vitamin B12. That is fine to do. It may or may not help, but it will not hurt to give the injections.
