My dog has small, peeling blisters on his stomach. What's wrong?

Hi my dog is getting these small circles on his stomach and groin where the skin starts coming off and some are pussy like blisters shall I get it looked at?

Yes, this is most likely a bacterial skin infection. Usually oral antibiotics and some topical therapy (like medicated shampoo) will be prescribed. You will need to get those from your vet so I suggest you get Rolo in for an exam.

    Small skin infections are actually common in puppies. Make sure he stays clean and wipe the area with soap and water or give him a good bath at least once a week. continue with the antibiotic ointment as this can help and most go away as puppies grow up. If it continues to spread or bothers her then you will need to have her checked by your vet for further treatment

My dog gets this rash under his stomach and elbows where he has the least for and it’s raised red bumps his vet gave him hexachlor-k wipes and keeps coming back. What can I do to treat this?
Hi again, and thanks for your question. This could be a superficial bacterial infection, which may require something a bit stronger than topical antiseptic wipes. Your vet may recommend oral antibiotic therapy for a few weeks, and I would definitely advocate weekly (or twice weekly) bathing with a chlorhexidine-based shampoo. Leave the shampoo on for 10 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Does Rosco use a harness that may be irritating the stomach and elbows? Another possibility is an underlying allergy that is causing a secondary bacterial infection on the skin. If the skin is itchy, your vet may also recommend anti-inflammatory medications to help relieve the discomfort and help the skin to heal faster. My blue staff has red weeping sores that have come up on his back stomach and between his hind legs I am worried and don't understand what it could be?

Your puppy may have puppy impetigo which is a bacterial skin infection. Have your vet take a look at her to diagnose and treat. She may need an antibacterial shampoo and/or an oral antibiotic to treat.

My dog has pimple like bumps on her stomach and I'm not sure where they came from. They look like they are painful what can I do to help get rid of them?
Pimple type bumps can be a sign of a bacterial infection of the skin that often require antibiotic therapy to treat. I would recommend setting up an appointment with Bella's vet for an exam and they can prescribe antibiotics if that is what she ends up needing!

I'm curious of what this is. It's on my malamute's side close to his stomach area. He's never had this before.
This looks potentially like a superficial skin infection. Skin infections like this can occur secondary to allergies, fleas, or sometimes to contact with an irritating substance. I would recommend having your veterinarian take a look. They might recommend topical treatment or an oral antibiotic, or they might want to do some testing as well.

Hi and thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sorry to hear about Remy. This looks like a bacterial skin infection, often called staph pyoderma/bacterial dermatitis. I would advise taking Remy to your veterinarian and let them gather a history and perform an examination. Based on their findings, they will probably advise treating this infection. This may involve a medicated shampoo, oral antibiotics, anti-itch medicines, etc. Good luck with Remy. This type of skin infection is NOT contagious to other dogs or people.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This may be something like a focal infection. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. It looks like he has a dermatitis and skin infection. He most likely needs an oral antibiotic and anti-inflammatory to treat the condition. I don’t think it is going to resolve with just topical medications. Call a vet and schedule an appointment so it can be treated appropriately. In the meantime, you can try over the counter Vetricyn spray and see if that helps.
