My cat is attacking sitters. How can I calm her while I'm away?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 13 lbs

I’m on vacation and my cat sitters texted me to let me know my cat has become very aggressive and attacks them and won’t let them in the apartment. I asked another friend to go feed her for the next couple days and today she was also attacked and started bleeding. I am worried and not sure what to do

Your cat maybe stressed due to your absence. You can have your sitters pick up some Feliway Spray ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-health-and-wellness/cat-calming-aids/feliway-spray ) at the local Petco. Have them spray it before entering. It could calm Minnie down enough to get in and take care of her. Feliway also makes a diffuser that can be plugged in to provide continuous application of a calming pheromone.
