My budgies lie on their perch. Is this normal behavior for parakeets?

Hi. I have 2 budgies. I've noticed that they sometimes lean over on their perch. Almost like they're lying down on it. They otherwise seem happy. They chirp, fly around and are eating regularly. I was just wondering if laying down on their perches was normal behavior. Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Male | unneutered | 1lb

I would not be overly worried since they are both doing it. It is not a "normal" behavior but if they seem otherwise OK then it is probably nothing. Monitor them closely for any signs of weakness or trouble breathing. That is the only time I have seen a bird lay down.
