Why are tiny red dots appearing on my cat's belly and increasing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 5 years and 10 months old

What could this be? There are like 5 tiny red dots on my cat’s belly. It’s not itchy and she doesn’t complain when I touch it. A couple of weeks ago there was only one. Now there are 5.

The spots on Sophia’s belly could be something like flea bites or a bacterial infection. Treat her with a good product for fleas and see if the lesions go away after a couple weeks. You can add an omega-3 fatty acid supplement for pets to her diet and this may help to improve the health of her skin and make her more resistant to bacterial infections. If the problem continues, have her examined by the veterinarian. I hope this helps and best of luck.
