Why is my dog's eye almost completely black and I can't see the iris?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 11 months old | 50 lbs

Why is my dogs eye always almost completely black... I can hardly see his iris. I can't get any good photos.

Poe should be examined by the veterinarian. This is not normal and could indicate a disease of the iris, cancer in the eye itself, corneal disease or severe allergies and irritation. The doctor will get a better idea of the cause and potential treatment options from the physical exam. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
