Pet's info: Dog | German Shorthaired Pointer | Female | spayed | 12 years and 1 month old | 73 lbs
Due to my dogs age and breed, being a German Shorthaired Pointer aged 12 over the past month we have had a tummy upset with diarrhea. Now it appears she is eating lots of grass 3 weeks on and a little more tired. She is vomiting a large ball of food wrapped in grass usually in the morning during the last 3 mornings. Do you have any idea if this could be pointing to a serious problem or just age?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Charley. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. I do not think that her recent symptoms are due to age. I would recommend blood and urine testing to determine if she has an underlying illness. If so, she can be started on treatment to help her feel better and potentially fix the problem. If the issue cannot be cured, such as kidney disease, treatment can slow the progression and improve her quality of life. I hope this information helps!
