My dog is gagging, eating grass, and acting needy. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 5 years and 9 months old | 45 lbs

My dog is about 5 years old. She is a great dog and very laid back yesterday she started getting more “needy” is the only word I can think of. She been making this gagging noise and begging, when I take her outside she goes straight to eating grass and comes right back. This is not normal behavior for her at all. Should I be concerned and take her to the vet?

So sorry to hear that Chloe is having this issue. Yes, I think you should be somewhat concerned and a vet visit is always a good idea. There are numerous things that could cause these symptoms. Sounds like her stomach is bothering her....
