What causes my dog's skin sores, lumps, and hair loss on her body?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Female | spayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 51 lbs

Hi, my dog seems to be getting small sores on various parts of her body, and some small lumps under the skin which also have hair loss on top of them. I'm not sure if the two are connected, but I'm worried something is going on more then just the general scraps of play. I've read a few articles but cant seem to find out what they might be related to.

Cas could be having these reoccurrence skin issues for many reasons including flea bites, skin mites, allergies, or a diet not high enough in fatty acids. I recommend to treat her with a reputable flea product and start her on an omega-3 fatty acid supplement. If this does not help with in 2 to 4 weeks, have her examined by her veterinarian. Of course you do always have the option to go to the veterinarian right away and this will likely provide you with an answer the fastest. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
