My kitten may have eaten an advil. We are not 100% sure and cannot afford an emergency vet at this time. We are monitoring her closely and wanted to administer some activated charcoal to be safe but are unsure on the amount. She is roughly 2 lbs.

Ideally, Ori should be seen by a veterinarian. Charcoal may help to a certain extent, however 200mg of Advil in a small kitten poses a risk of serious toxicity. Vomiting can be induced via injection to get the Advil out or to confirm it was not ingested. This is most successful within 2 hours of ingestion. Discuss payment plans or alternate options, such as CareCredit ( www.carecredit.com )with the veterinarian or practice manager. You can also contact teh Pet Poison Helpline ( https://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/ ) or at 1 (855) 764-7661 for advice from a toxicology specialist. there is a fee associated with this call. they will work with you and your vet to bring Ori through this situation.
